Yatra Overview

The Chardham Yatra: One of the holiest pilgrimage circuits of four abodes named Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath in India. In this Yatra, Yatri has to reach Dehradun, a day prior to flying and stay for one night in Dehradun and from the next day they will fly to all the shrines with a one-night stay at each Dham, starting from Yamunotri Dham followed by Gangotri Dham, then Kedarnath Ji and at last they will reach at Badrinath Ji and then back to Dehradun.

We understand that how much this Yatra is important for a Pilgrim and keeping this in mind we offer a safe and well-planned Itinerary for this Yatra. Team Traveexcel Hospitality Pvt Ltd is ready to welcome their Guest for this Yatra at our base Dehradun. Doon Helidrome, the state government helipad on Sahastradhara Road, Dehradun is the starting and ending point of this Yatra. Our Vehicle will transfer Yatri’s to the Helipad and our team will brief each guest about this Yatra on the day they arrive at Dehradun / before flying at Dehradun Helipad.

  • For this Yatra we use B-3 and Bell 407 Helicopters and they can fly with a seating capacity of 06 passenger and a carrying capacity of 435 – 450Kg weight of passengers and 25-30kg weight of their luggage.
  • There is very limited space for luggage in the helicopter. So only small size bags having 5 kg / lesser luggage per passenger will be permitted.
  • Total passenger weight should not exceed 435kg to 450kg per helicopter, however heavy weight passengers are adjusted with reducing their luggage weight or our ground staff manage their weight by many other ways, this information will be given to Yatris’ at the time of flying, so Yatris’ are requested to cooperate and follow the Ground staff instructions.
  • Weighing at the time of boarding the helicopter is must since the pilot will not allow boarding in case it exceeds the weight conveyed at the time of booking & we reserve the right to shuffle passengers to manage the right weight of helicopters for safe flying in the hills.
  • At the time of flying, operator will check per person body weight and if it exceeds from the Helicopter flying limit, then client may have to pay extra weight charges i.e. upto Rs 2000/kg (cost depends on the circumstance at the time of flying).
  • After Paying for extra weight does not mean that Helicopter will fly with unlimited weight, then also our team and Helicopter can manage weight upto 05-10kg extra only or we have to manage their weight by reducing their luggage weight, reducing fuel in the Helicopter or sending their luggage by other mode of transport.

  • Passengers should carry a very small handbag also to carry their Mobile, Charger, Medicines, and other personal belongings.
  • All temples in CharDham Yatra are located on high altitude areas. Passengers having Asthma problems should not undertake this yatra. All passengers undertaking this yatra should be medically and physically fit.
  • Passengers are advised to carry Woollen cloths, especially carry Thermal wears because they are very light in weight and does not exceed your luggage weight.
  • Passengers should carry light weight Rain Coat, Sport shoes, personal medicines, and small oxygen bottle with them as a precaution.
  • Company shall not be liable for any medical emergency on the ground to the party, thus advised guests to get the fitness certificate from doctor to travel to the high-altitude sector.

 

    • Please note that in Chardham Yatra we fly in a circuit program, which means first we will fly from Dehradun to Kharsali then to Harsil then Guptkashi then Badrinath Ji and then back to Dehradun and from each place we move our all guest accordingly, like those who are in Dehradun they will be moved to Kharsali and then those who came in Kharsali one day before they will be moved to next place and so on till Back to Dehradun, The cost of this tour is derived according to this program only.
    • A dedicated Chopper is not booked in this program that will come according to the client’s requirement / comfort every day, and client has to follow the schedule given by our team daily.
    • The quality of accommodation available at Kharsali ( Yamunotri ) is just above average and a non-star category hotel, Hence the passengers should not have very high expectations. However, at Harsil, Guptkashi and Badrinath the accommodation standard is far better and one can say 4 star deluxe category of Hotel.
    • Similar hotel will be given in case of non-availability / Bounce bookings and Traveexcel hospitality Pvt Ltd is authorized to change the hotel if required.
    • Any change in fuel price / Govt Taxes may lead to increase the cost of package and it should be borne by Yatri and will be collected on spot directly from Yatri.
    • Traveexcel Hospitality Pvt Ltd is authorized to change the route or itinerary if required.
    • Violation of company’s policy or misbehave with any of the company’s staff will lead to cancelation of the package with no refund.
    • Children above the age of 2 years will be considered full ticket.
    • There is no provision of concession to children or senior citizens.
    • At Yamunotri Dham, Palki Porters may charge an extra price for heavy weight persons, because for heavy weight persons they have to put extra persons to carry the palki.
    • The booking has to be done in advance with a deposit of 50% of the charter amount and balance amount has to be deposited 30 days prior to date of journey.
    • In case the journey is not finished within the stipulated time and passengers are not able to visit one or more Dhams due to bad weather conditions/technical reasons then the company will try to visit all places within the stipulated time. Although if this is not possible then the liability of the company will be limited to refund of unutilised sector/s.
    • Rescheduling of booking to a next date will be done subject to availability and on payment of 10% of the cost of the total package. This will be permitted only if applied 15days before journey date. In case the rescheduling is requested within 15 days to the journey then booking will be treated as cancelled and a fresh booking will be given subject to availability.
    • The Company reserves the right, without assigning any reason, to cancel, advance, reschedule, over-fly or delay the commencement or continuance of the flight. Without incurring any liability in damages or otherwise to the passengers or any other person on any ground whatsoever. The Company reserves the right to refuse to carry any person whom it considers unfit for travel or what in the opinion of the company may constitute risk to the aircraft or to the persons on board
